its a vitamin deficiency. make sure u get enough vitamin e in your body. u can take the pills. and also do u paint ur nails a lot?? cuz sum times strong paint or nail polish remover does that to your nails. get an acetone free nail polish remover...Whay causes raised ridges that runs up and down the nail.They seemed to develope over a short period of time?
I was told as a child that it was from hitting my nails against hard surfaces. Like when you tap them on a hard surface or knock them up against something.
