What causes RIDGES on the finger nails. What causes wrinkles on hands and face?

My only assumption is age, as you get older. What causes RIDGES on the finger nails. What causes wrinkles on hands and face?
time and the effect of gravity upon your largest bodily organ. If we lived with no gravity, no telling what our skin would become as time passed. What causes RIDGES on the finger nails. What causes wrinkles on hands and face?
Ridges on the finger nails are due to problems in the nail bed, like nutritional deficiencies or physical damage.

Wrinkles on the skin happen with aging. Young skin is elastic in quality (if you look closely at it, you see little triangles). As skin ages, it actually gets glycosylated, which makes it lose elasticity. If you look at older skin, you see little squares or parallel lines. Glycosylation of skin proteins are caused by aging processes like sun damage, dryness, poor health. You can delay these by using UV sun protection, moisturizers, adequate vitamin intake, enough sleep, drinking enough water...
Your fingernails hold clues to your health. Learn to recognize the signs that might indicate a health issue. Some nail conditions are harmless. These include vertical ridges, which may become more pronounced as you age, and white lines or spots. Spots usually result from injury to the nail plate or nail bed. In time the white spots will grow out.

Other nail conditions can indicate disease. For example, yellow or green discoloration in your nails may result from a respiratory condition, such as chronic bronchitis, or from swelling of your hands (lymphedema). Indentations that run across your nails, called Beau's lines, appear when growth at the area under your cuticle is interrupted. This might occur because of an injury or severe illness, such as a heart attack.

If you have a nail problem that persists or is associated with other signs and symptoms, make an appointment with your doctor to get it checked out. The doctor's visit typically includes an examination of your nails along with other observations and tests to make a diagnosis.

Wrinkles are caused as a person starts growing older. Wrinkles appear on the face, hands and other body parts of a person. One of the most important reasons of wrinkle is the ageing process.

As a person starts growing in age his skin cells divide more slowly thinning the inner skin and thus making it weaker. This causes more moisture to be released and makes the skin dryer. The cells also do not reproduce as fast as when you are young, something like 10% less. As a result any damage to the skin in the form of wear and tear takes a long time to heal.
aging
ridges on your nails is caused by being sick . . your nails stop growing when you are sick (cold flu kinda stuff) and wrinkles is aging or too much sun and whatnot
ridges can be caused by handling things over and over again. anything you hold or touch or do with your fingers, etc.

wrinkles come with aging, unhealthy diet and lifestyle, including no excercise.
