Finger nail ridges? health?

i know that ridges in finger nails is like, when you lack in something like iron or whatever... but does each fingernail mean a different thing?


because all my fingers are fine, except for my left thumb nail which has heavy ridges and grooves


and also gouges? i have gouges in some nails.. they arent ridges, theyr horizontal gouges, that dont run the whole width of the nail.


AND odd splinters under the nail? i have some splinters that keep occuring, deep down towards the base of the nails? how do they get there?

Vertical nail ridges=good....





Horizontal? Doesn't look too good.....Check out the site. Says its related to some deficiency related to the kidney. Call your freakin doc while you're at it.
