Acrylics off, ridges in nails?

Best way to make them look better, buff them and put almond oil on them, they still look bad.Acrylics off, ridges in nails?
Honey, you never should've gotten those things in the first place. A lot of nail salons don't even use acrylic--they use dental bonding (big-time illegal) and ALL fake nails ruin your natural nail. You're looking at a MINIMUM of six months of growth to fix the damage--and even then, you could have permanent damage to your nail bed which will cause the nail to grow with ridges forever. Let them grow, leave them alone and moisturize daily!!!Acrylics off, ridges in nails?
Get your nails done again, use silk wrap instead of acrylic.

Or just get a manicure, they always know what to do.
Unfortunately, they will have to look bad for a while, until they grow out. Try buffing them some more.
Time will tell. I am a licensed professional and I'm telling you if they don't use clean utensils or you've had them on a long time you can get fungus under the nail which makes them look rigid and yellow.

Be careful buffing them too. Too much buffing can damage the nailbed itself, and let me tell you that burns and is very painful.
It's just going to take time unfortunately. I used to get acrylics but stopped b/c I figured my nails looked worse after them than if I just left them plain and short. Your nails just have to grow out in the meantime.
are the ridges from the base to the free edge, or across from one side of the finger to the other. If they are across, the nail tech did a very lazy job of prepping you nails for fills. Don't try to buff those out.

If they are along the length then they are corrugations that can be buffed out.
It is going to take some time for them to completely grow out. Keep putting on nail hardener to help strengthen them a bit.
cut your nails. file them. buff them. put lotion on them. and get this nail polish called ceramic smooth. and also they have nail fortifier. any kind of enrichment nail polish.

yepp. thats how i fixed mine. it takes a few months before theyre completely normal again so yea....

good luck
Had acrylic nails one time and never again. Buffed and polished and lotioned and oiled and the only thing that made them look better was time. They had to grow out.
been getting mine done off and on for YEARS, and unfortunately, everyone is right, only time will make them go away. in the mean time though, you can use a nail fortifier to make them stronger, put polish over it, and get these vitamins called silica, they have this stuff in them, horsetail (not based on an animal at all, plant based) that REALLY helps with hair, skin, and nail health and growth! its really cheap too, only like 6 dollars for a bottle, and my nails and hair have never grown so fast as they do when i take that daily! you can get silican at vitamin world, but if you dont have one near you, you can go to another vitamin store for a similar product, or order it online http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/file.a鈥?/a>

i have to say though, that of all that i have tried, silica from vitamin world not only taste the best, they really work the best too!
